Your business may require a customized solution that focuses on a particular customs or trade program. We're ahead of the curve on the latest customs programs to help you keep your business on the leading edge and UPS offers programs to meet your specific business requirements.

Advance Commercial Information (ACI): The Advance Commercial Information initiative is a major part of the Canadian Customs Action Plan launched in April 2000. The Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) will require data to be transmitted electronically before the goods arrive in Canada. UPS Supply Chain Solutions can help importers with ACI solutions designed to provide expedited and compliant processing.

Pre-Arrival Release System (PARS): The Pre-Arrival Review System (PARS) is a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) line release option available to importers of commercial goods into Canada that allows Canada Customs to process cargo information before the goods arrive at the border. UPS Supply Chain Solutions has developed a process that gives easy access to PARS to qualifying importers. At UPS Supply Chain Solutions, we believe that realtime information on the movement of your goods is important. Using our Pre-Arrival Review System (PARS) tracking web site, you will gain on-line access to the current status of your PARS shipment with CBSA.

Customs Self Assessment (CSA): The Customs Self Assessment program gives approved importers a streamlined accounting and payment process for all imported goods, allowing importers to use their own business systems to fully assess and meet their customs obligations. With UPS CSA Web Portal, we have the technology to help and can assist with the design and deployment of new processes to capture entry data from the importers books and records.

Partners in Protection (PIP): Canada's PIP program is a high profile, voluntary security program that is focused on building cooperative relationships between the Canadian government and our trade community. Like its US counterpart Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), it provides benefits such as lower examination rates to companies that demonstrate a good compliance record and actively participate in the program. It is available to the entire trade community, from importers, carriers, brokers, warehouse operators to associations. As a PIP participant, UPS Supply Chain Solutions can provide you with the assistance, tools and support you need throughout your application process and beyond.

Free and Secure Trade (FAST): The FAST program is a bilateral initiative between Canada and the United States designed to ensure safety and security while enhancing the economic prosperity of both countries. To use FAST into Canada, the importer or carrier must be authorized under the CSA program and participate in the PIP program. To use FAST into the United States, the importer or carrier must participate in the (C-TPAT) program. UPS Supply Chain Solutions can help you get into the FAST lane.

Non-Resident Importer (NRI) Program: With global trade increasing, both buyers and sellers need more flexibility to conduct business internationally. To fulfill this need, UPS offers a Non-Resident Importer program. Our Non-Resident Importer (NRI) program is specifically tailored to companies like yours that want to export to Canada without the hassle of having a physical presence in Canada.
